For the Wing Commander fans (and other classic EA games)

GOG is having a sale on EA games. All under 3.00 a piece. Wing Commander 1-4 are on sale, as well as Privateer (one of my favorite games of all time). A lot of other solid classic games on sale as well. Ultima, Syndicate, MOH among others. Sale ends tomorrow night.

Re: For the Wing Commander fans (and other classic EA games)

Interesting - the minimum requirements for Wing Commander would have been unimaginable when the game was first released:
Minimum system requirements: Windows XP or Windows Vista, 1.8 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM (1 GB recommended), 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), 2GB HDD, Mouse, Keyboard.
Do they run those old games in a vm?

Did EA purchase Bullfrog Games? They made Syndicate, which might be the greatest game in the history of PC gaming.

I'd like to avoid buying anything EA. Based on last year's Tiger Woods, they are trying to squeeze every penny from you by selling half of a game and then charging the crap out of you for the rest.

They did the same thing with SimCity. That game is still a dumpster fire.

Not sure if they bought bullfrog or the rights to the property. I think they were the ones who recently did the remake of Syndicate. I just assume EA owns everything now. I was a little confused about Wing Commander, because I remember Origin being the original developer. Whatever, there are a lot of good classics for cheap regardless.

By the way, you are right about the original Syndicate. Awesome game.
