    Insurance Agent Question

I have met life for home/auto and my insurance agent quit the business. His office closed and I was transferred to some agent I don't even know outside of DSM. I want to keep met life but transfer to a more local agent (prefer Ankeny). Is there any CF agents that do met life?

    Re: Insurance Agent Question

I recently switched agents here in Ankeny and went with Doubleday Insurance. Love them. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, family-owned, and have been in the Ankeny area almost 50 years. They'll find you the best coverage for what you need. PM me if you decide to contact them.

Edit: I should add that they are extremely responsive. My biggest pet peeve with insurance agents/companies is when they're slow to respond. The guys at Doubleday will usually get you what you need within a half day.

    Re: Insurance Agent Question

A lot of your smaller family owned businesses like that are very very good. I've got a friend that works for one similar to them. All of the things you mentioned are true.

Yes, set on met life for now. Just changed insurance about 6 months ago and I don't want to do it again for a while.

    Re: Insurance Agent Question

We recently switched to State Farm run by a former ISU football player. We are saving quite a bit each month and have better coverage.

Find a good local mutual insurance agency. I kind of view them as the credit union's of the insurance world.
