Friday OT #2 - Favorite/Most Memorable Kids' Shows

Sorry, I had another thought as I was hitting "submit thread" on the other one.

What were your favorite or most memorable shows when you were a kid? Cartoons, game shows, whatever.

When I was little-little-little, I loved Mr. Rogers and Fraggle Rock. Also Betty Lou and Alvin & the Chipmunks.

As I got older, I watched both Jem and Transformers.

    Two of the most memorable:

    - I wanted to be on "Dr. Fad" - he was the dude who had an invention show where kids would come on with their inventions, and whoever had the best one would win. He had wacky wall-walkers all over his lab coat.

    - In the early 90s, there was some show where you played video games, and then there was an obstacle course where it was like you were in a video game (you crawled through stuff and hit bricks and stuff, I think). It was on Fox. I just thought it was a unique premise, and timely since video games were really taking off back then.

I know this guy has had his own threads, and I think Angie you were a part of the show, as were many other CF'ers, but Floppy is the first one that always comes to mind and Betty Lou and the magic window.

Would love to see Double Dare come back.

I was a big fan of Mr. Rodgers. After school I liked to watch Duck Tales.

My favorites included Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, Captain Planet (was I brainwashed?), and Aaaah Real Monsters.
Also, I think you mean Nick Arcade.

I was JUST coming back to say Floppy! I can't believe I forgot it. :( You're right, I was! Man, that show was awesome.

LOVED Double Dare. And You Can't Do That on Television.

THAT'S IT!!! I thought that was on Fox for some reason, but that's exactly it.

GI Joe and Ninja Turtles were staples at our house growing up. My parents still have a toy chest full of these action figures at their house.

Not really sure how I left out Legends of the Hidden Temple, TMNT, The Secret World of Alex Mac, or the all-time greatest children's show Are you Afraid of the Dark?.

At the time, I was a much bigger SBTB fan. However, I feel like Boy Meets World has aged better.
