Iron Man 3 Opens Tomorrow Night

We have our tickets for Saturday's matinee. The only bad comments so far are mainly people that admit to not liking Marvel Movies.

    Anyone else excited?

I love critics who critique super hero movies when they dont like super hero movies.

Re: Iron Man 3 Opens Tomorrow Night

I'm excited for it. I'll probably wait a week or 3 to go see in in theaters though.

The movie that I'm really excited for (or at least my inner 12 year old) is Pacific Rim. I'm not expecting/hoping for much of a plot but 300' tall robots vs 300' monsters should make for one hell of a popcorn flick. The visuals in the trailers look pretty cool.

All the Iron Man movies are the exact same. Just watch the first one and save your money.

All two of them? Not exactly a trend.

Saw it already online. It was pretty good. Not great, but worth a trip to the theater IMO.

They weren't even paid critics. These were people who said, "I hate Marvel movies," paid to see a Marvel movie, then ran to the Internet to remind the world that they hate Marvel movies.

You think they actually bothered to watch it before they posted that?

While I'm not a fan of comic book movies, I thought the first Iron Man was a pretty good flick. I was very disappointed with the second one.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

I am fairly optimistic for this movie. Extremis was a good story line that was very anti-climactic but I think Shane Black will be able to remedy that.

I am super pumped for this installment. SO EXCITED TO SEE PEPPER POTTS WITH AN EXPANDED ROLE!! Maybe even Coldplay frontman Chris Martin can get in on the act.

I'm torn on that. Between comic fans and wrestling fans, there are a lot of people that do spend the money simply to complain. I suspect that they actually did, since they included some content from the movie, but it's very possible that they just used a stock whining post.

You are right, and it's always like that with superhero movies - first one sets up the character backstory, and some character development, which is the interesting part. The sequels just add special effects and "world-ending danger" which really is not special.

And I'm sure Marvel would just completely go under if they didn't buy a ticket. If you're expecting it to be a cinematic tour de force you are an idiot.
