    "Chip on their shoulder": Overused

Am I the only one that thinks the phrase is being used to much is sports writing. It feels like any time a guy receives the smallest slight, its him vs the world and he has a chip on his shoulder because of it. Everytime i see that line now, it just gets on my nerves, and CW is one of the worse offenders. Just had to vent on that one.

    End Rant.

Re: "Chip on their shoulder": Overused

I'd like it to be more descriptive.

Something like this from least to greatest:

    1) He's got a roach chip on his shoulder
    2) He's got a mouse chip ......
    3) He's got a deer chip
    4) Moose chip
    5) Cat chip
    6) Dog chip
    7) bear chip
    8) buffalo chip
    9) donkey chip
    10) elephant chip

You don't have to get a chip on your shoulder about it.

If used in the correct context, as I believe Tebow uses it, the phrase should refer to a gratefulness that God gave them as an individual the ability to achieve whatever they have achieved and allowed them to be in their current situation which allowed them to enjoy the experience with their teammates.

I agree though, if used to mean "thank God for picking me/my team over the opponent to win", then no, not justified.
