Here's hoping he works his way to #1 in 2014, then commits to ISU.

Fred could have had one hell of a recruiting class had he taken the Minnesota job.

Yeah, got a bad feeling about Vaughn. I just hope he doesn't pick Baylor or Kansas

If you ask the basketball analysts outside the state of Iowa I think you would be surprised to hear their responses. Iowa was pegged as a preseason top 5 team by one ESPN analyst and is ranked in the vast, vast majority of preseason top 25 polls

Like someone else mentioned, I think it's UNC #1, followed by UM (only due to some added excitement of a new coach and location obviously).

If he goes blue blood, I think it will be UNC, not KU or Baylor (wouldn't throw Baylor into the blue blood category though).

Glad you followed up with that last part. Baylor as a blueblood makes me want to vomit.

Not sure if it means much, but Rashad seemed to be a little miffed at the Star Trib folks on twitter...so I wouldn't put too much stock into the article and 'speculate' on where RV might go. Basically, it's clear as mud.

I liked this part of the article.

"The country’s ninth-best rated player by ESPN is used to doing his own thing, calling himself a “trendsetter” of sorts."

I've lost confidence in Vauhgn for the good guys at this point. I can't explain how ****** off it makes me that Baylor is even in the conversation at this point.

Re: Rashad Vaughn, Tyus Jones, Reid Travis article - Star Tribune

My money is on Rashad Vaughn going to North Carolina. I would absolutely love to see him at ISU but I don't think it will happen... With that being said, a lot can change between now and next spring when he plans on making his decision. Let's all hope for the best but let's not expect the worst because that would be Vaughn at Baylor which would be awful.
