Re: NCAA president's opinion on phone logging

The pushback against "deregulating" the phone calls, especially from the coaches, is interesting.

    One of Emmert's other comments:

-- On conference realignment: “At the end of the day the new conference landscape, while it was painful to go through, wasn't the nightmare scenario that people were describing. When the smoke all cleared, some of the conferences made sense.”
Some? Which conferences would those be? The ones where you only visit some of your conference mates' FB stadiums once a decade? Or the one with a team stuck 1/2 a continent away from all the other teams?

Wouldn't it be better if all the conferences "made sense"?

I may be out of the loop, but who will decide our punishment over our violations. I've never thought we'd get hit with much, but if they have the same opinion as Emmert we're in better shape than I thought.

Too bad that muppet-faced Emmert isn't ruling on our case

Nice to hear a bit of common sense from the NCAA.

Re: NCAA president's opinion on phone logging

Emmert is a turd. He has exhibited a lack of institutional control. If the same standards that the NCAA tries to enforce on it's member universities were employed on the NCAA, the president would have been fired and the death penalty would be in effect.
