My mock for the Cowboys draft

First off - love the rumor floating around that Dallas is shopping Doug Free to New Orleans for a pick - if that happens Dallas is drafting a tackle in the first. I really like Fluker a lot. If that did not happen, and the top OL prospects were gone, i wouldnt mind trading down 5-7 spots and picking up a 2nd or 3rd round pick and select Jonathan Cyprien safety from Florida International...

    1st Round 18th Pick - OT Fluker - Alabama
Others: S Cyprien, Cooper, Warmack, Vaccaro

    2nd round 47th pick - DT Short - Purdue
Others: S - Elam, S - Reid, DT Williams, OT Armstead

    3rd Round 80th pick - OL Jones - Alabama
    Others: S- Thomas, S - Williams, RB - Randle

    4th round 114th pick - S - Tony Jefferson - Oklahoma
Others: S- Rambo, WR - Swope, RB - Ball, RB - Taylor

5th Round 150th pick - QB Landry Jones - Oklahoma
Others: LB - Hodges, Ath - Robinson, DT - Hill

6th Round 185th pick - DE Gholston - Michigan State
Others: OT Williams, OG Thornton, CB Hyde, OLB Jenkins

This to me would be a very good scenario - addressing the three biggest needs with first four picks...
Oline needs a bit of nasty on it, IF we picked Fluker with first pick i would be ecstatic....especially if there were able to trade free in the process and pick up a first or second in the process. Fluker was said by Warmack to be the attitude behind that line...i saw a comparison that said he was a mix of Eric Williams with size of flozell adams...pretty good comparisons....

If we could get Short and Jones with our next two picks our OL and DL would look better! Now throw in the mix a potential trade for Free that would give us someones 2nd or 3rd round pick - get a guy like Warford from Kentucky or even Menelik Watson from FSU or Kyle Long from Oregon. You put these pieces in place and the two most important parts of a team are immediately improved greatly!!!!

Its amazing how far Gholston has fallen. He used to be very highly regarded.

I am a Bucs fan, and I would be surprised to see (if Short is still there) slip past them at 43. DL is a much needed area for them.

wouldn't be surprised to see them trade to early-mid 2nd round and take Short. Seems like the staff really likes him.
