Marty Tirrell has been saying he's leaving for sure for a few days now...then again he's only right about 25% of the time with his "sources"

Marty also guaranteed through his "sources" Harrison Barnes was going to Duke a week before he announced he was going to NC.

Either way I'm sure Doug knows for the most part what he's doing just waiting for the right time to announce it

This is a tough one. If he stays I don't see his draft value being any higher than it is right now, due to his performance the last couple years. That being said, I just don't see him being very successful in the NBA.

Marty is a hack and the 25% is an exaggeration.

Depends on how you define successful. I think he could be a useful role player as long as he can handle NBA range threes as well as he can college range.

Agreed. Hes an efficient scorer, granted that might be a little harder in the NBA, but he could definitely be a role player. Not that he is anywhere near the lottery, but this would be the draft to go with the weakness of it.

Re: Doug and the NBA Decision

IMO he's better off going now...could have some flaws exposed next year plus a "weak" draft as the experts say. Plus his stock won't be any higher. I understand if he doesn't though, loves the college game and loves Creighton and might want to make a run next year

His game is going to have to change as he will be a more perimeter based scorer in the NBA, but the kid can flat out shoot. I think he can definitely be a rotation guy in the NBA, a small ball 4. If he comes out now, he has a good chance of going late first round to a quality organization.

I think he'd fit in nicely with Denver.

Agreed, or even the Spurs. Really he could fit in anywhere that wants to go small and play outside in. The Knicks have done this quite well.

Where is he projected at if he enters the draft?

I think he's an absolute steal in the early to mid second round (38th-43rd) where a lot of projections have him. Many players drafted mid second round never even make a team, compared to most early to mid second rounders I think McD will have a very productive career barring injuries.
