    Thursday Night moonlight express

Doing a school project for English 302 proposing that moonlight express be extended to Thursday nights to accommodate us thirsty thursday mugnight goers and other late night activities. What are your thoughts on it ? Also if you could take my 5 question survey Thursday Night Moonlight Express Survey for class it would be ideal ! Its only multiple choice so I dont make you type! Lets hear it fellow cyclone fanatics and Mug Night goers! I know I'm not the only one who hates trying to find a ride home to west ames after bar close!

How much would it cost to implement?

I know it sounds nice and all but there is this thing called costs. How much would it add per student to the fees? Once I found that out, I would give you a definitive answer

    Cost is important.

Usually I have at least 1 friend who isn't at mug night and drives us to and from the bars, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

    Re: Thursday Night moonlight express

Total cost in 2011 was $82,419 http://www.cyride.com/modules/showdo...ocumentid=4475 so $82,419 divided by 31040 students is 2.65$ per person. If my rough math is correct

Pretty cheap to save just 1 life and multiple arrests. ISU spends much more on much less return for students.

We used to walk home from Welch with a bottle of Andre and a 12 pack. Cut through the old softball complex, cross State, take the trail that goes behind the middle school, and your home.

It would be hard to find drivers/dispatchers/and lane workers to voluntarily work that shift.

    Re: Thursday Night moonlight express

Yeah, God forbid college students have to do something ridiculous like plan ahead for a ride home.

    a) Taxi
    b) take an extra friend who isn't interested in getting hammered.

    Problem fixed.

Unless it's changed in the past 2 years, it's a ton of busy work.
