Someone somewhere green lighted those ads, would not want to be that guy today.

You would think that there are other ways to show roominess.

Groceries, strollers, luggage... nah, we'll show how many women you could tie up and throw in back. I am skeptical on three, unless they are tiny. I'm thinking that's false advertising.

I know if I buy a Ford and I can't fit 3 average sized women in the back there's going to be a negative review coming their way.

I did have a new Ford Fusion loaner car a couple weeks ago and the trunk was awfully roomy, but I remember thinking to myself "I can probably only fit two women in this trunk."

Obviously the ads were in extremely poor taste, but you have to admit they were very effective. We wouldn't have ever heard of the Ford Figo otherwise.

yes, but are people more likely to buy one now? It's not enough for advertising to get exposure, it has to cause a desire to want the product being advertised.

Didn't you learn anything from the Simpsons?

I totally understand why this caused such an uproar. I can't think of a less misogynistic society than India.

I know I have looked into the trunk of a car and said you could probably fit 3-4 dead bodies in there but never would I think that a company would use bound women in an actual ad campaign.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

Could Craig James fit five dead hookers in the trunk?

I wonder if the fact that the country is so poor when it comes to women's rights is part of the reason why the ad got greenlighted in the first place? Women's rights are definitely a hot button issue over there, though.
