    2013 Football Record Predictions

I couldn't find one of these, so here we go.

    UNI - W

Iowa - W (Toss up, but should win when this in on the other side.)

    Tulsa - W (Revenge)

    Texas - L (Talented)

Tech - W (Maybe Kliff struggles)

Baylor - W (Baylor is Baylor)

    Oklahoma State - L

KSU - W (We have to win Farmageddon sometime)

    TCU - L

    Oklahoma - L (At Norman)

    Kansas - W

    WVU - W

Record: 8-4 (Optimistic -- Six wins should be doable)

    Re: 2013 Football Record Predictions

I always try not to be overly optimistic in prediction threads, but this is always what ends up happening:

    UNI - W, it's UNI...

    Iowa - W, at home

Tulsa - W, agree with revenge

    Texas - L, talent

Tech - W, beat Tech without Doege

Baylor - W, have to replace Florence

    Oklahoma State -W, at home

KSU - W, like JUKEBOX said, we gotta beat them eventually

    TCU - W, at home

Oklahoma - W, like KSU, gotta beat them eventually

Kansas - W, its Kansas, and at home

WVU - W, make up for this year when we should have won

Record: 11-1, not realistic at all, I know, but like I said, this is what always happens when I predict

I'd rather wait until I actually see the Spring game...but I'll probably do this anyway.

Thats like judging how well our basketball team is going to be by watching the cap city league. It is fun to watch but no way should season predictions be based off of that.

    Re: 2013 Football Record Predictions

UNI- W... Should be relatively easy
Iowa- W... The Hawkeyes are still down and will be breaking in a new QB
Tulsa- W... We get our revenge on them
Texas- L... Lots of people coming back and they are Texas.
Texas Tech- L... On the road
Baylor- W... Is Baylor is Baylor is Baylor
Oklahoma State- L... Too much talent, and they'll remember what happened the last time they came to Ames.
Kansas State- W... We finally beat them after several years of heartbreak.
TCU- L... Pachall is back, and they are returning a lot of key pieces.
Oklahoma- L... They are just too talented.
Kansas- W... KU will still be bad and it is at home
West Virginia- W... Replacing weapons on offense+ Horrible Defense= Down year

The guys were embarrassed with the loss to Tulsa, they will be up for that game. I think 7-5.

    Re: 2013 Football Record Predictions

UNI- Win....hopefully we can get a lopsided game here to give the young guys some great confidence

Iowa- Win....will be close, but since its at JTS i think we win

Tulsa- Loss.....i know its revenge, but man they dominated us in the bowl game, not to mention they are a good team (no matter what anyone says). It will be on the road with likely around 20K fans, that sometimes makes it more tough to play.

Texas-Loss.....even with Mack they are still going to be really good. Too much talent, and they're young talent is now experienced.

Tech- Win....Lubbock can be a tough place to play. Last time we were there, we completely dominated them. If they don't have a QB, we will win.

Baylor- Loss....I know we beat them last year and they don't have Florence, but they will have arguably the best running game in the Big-12 and an improved Defense.

Okie. St- Loss.....they are my favorite to win the Big 12. JTS should give us an outside shot, but they also dominated us last year. And they'll be better this year, not sure if i can say that about us.

KSU- Win.....we finally escape Farmageddon with a W. No Collin Klein, but Waters and Sams are both very talented, but they lost a ton on defense (like us) but i think our Offense will be better than theirs.

TCU- Win....I know TCU is also an early favorite to contend, but i don't see them finishing higher than 4th. I also think we beat them at JTS.

OU- Loss....if it were at JTS we would have a chance here, but OU just has our number. They lost a lot, but they will still be a Big 12 contender.

Kansas- Win.....much closer than last year. They upgraded in talent (whether it pans out, idk) and if they get a formidable QB to compliment their running game, they could be decent. Still win at JTS.

WVU- Win.....Honestly, i think WVU finishes dead last in the conference this year. We should have beaten them last year, and playing on the road in cold conditions shouldn't hurt us too bad.

That puts us at 7-5 and 5-4 in the Big-12. Optimistic? Yes probably a little. Realistic? Yes it is as well.

Who said I was basing my predictions off it? I already know my predictions, I just may tweak them one way or another.

If you ask the basketball analysts outside the state of Iowa I think you would be surprised to hear their responses. Iowa was pegged as a preseason top 5 team by one ESPN analyst and is ranked in the vast, vast majority of preseason top 25 polls
