Crappy deal here. Had been saying he wanted to retire after next season.
Hopefully he can make it back from this.

Pretty damn negligent from MDA. Also that cartoon is pretty stupid. Kobe averages 6 assists per game, the highest of his career, and 2nd in the league among non-PGs.

This is what happens when you play 48 minutes a night.

Not a Laker fan but never want to see something like this happen.

    Re: Kobe torn Achilles

If the reports are true, then too bad for Kobe and the Lakers. Being the hypercompetitive a-hole that he is, I would expect to see him back for one more run next year.
What's more interesting now is what the Lakers' long term plan is. They're old now and about to move into ancient territory if they move forward with their current core, and Dwight Howard just isn't a guy you can build a championship team around (fluke run to the Finals with the Magic a few years ago aside), assuming he even re-ups long term with the Lakers after this season.

Harrison Barns was guarding him. He actually ask Barns if he kicked him

    Re: Kobe torn Achilles

Sad news for Kobe and the Lakers. He may never be the same after this, he may have to retire, but as competitive as he is I expect him to try and come back and retire on his terms.

First thought that came to my mind when I heard this was hopefully the Lakers miss the playoffs now.

This opens the door for Jamaal Tinsley and the Jazz to grab the final playoff spot.

Wait, is this the same Kobe that raped a girl? And cheated on his wife? And makes 30 million a year?

Yeah, pardon me for not giving a ****.

My intoxicated roommate said this last night and we laughed way harder than we should have.
