Favorite thing you've heard so far this Spring?

    I'll start it off..

My favorite thing i have heard so far this Spring is that Center Tom Farniok and Coach K are implementing a "nasty" attitude to the rest of the O-Line.

With those guys averaging over 6'5 305 pounds, a little nastyness would do wonders for them.

For the first time in the Rhoads era, the defense can move like a Big 12 defense should.

I would have to agree with this as well. Our offensive success starts up front. "Nasty" is a good term for Oline and hopefully this is an accurate description of this unit this year.

“It’s beyond pride. It’s a restored trust. There’s a confidence again, a passion that teeters on swagger. More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...”

I like hearing about the upside to our corners. Nothing can neutralize a good team like good corners (Look how LJ helped slow down Okie State in 2011)

This is promising, but it's the first time I've heard(seen) this anywhere. All I've read and heard is that we're in serious trouble on defense.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Charlie Rogers and the idea of using Wimberly as a Percy Harvin type role

We are still a little under sized at LB and young on the DL, but it is encouraging to hear they move well. I'll take that as they have potential

That we can make a bowl game and the NCAA tournament this upcoming season, but even if we don't, it only gets better from there and we actually have a future in athletics to anticipate for years to come.

Re: Favorite thing you've heard so far this Spring?

Pistol baby...when every player/coach seems to mention it AND they're saying positive, encouraging things about it I can't help but have some excitement for this season. Maybe we'll finally be a team that utilizes its massive stable of running threats to an advantage. RB's, TE's, QB's and WR's can all get up and go.

If our defense can at least be average for Big XII (let's face it, even with K & K we were ranked pretty low last year) we'll be fine.
