Re: CFTV: Jeff Woody explains the Pistol offense

that's a great video. Woody is so awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, does a great job in interviews. I wonder if he might have a future on a coaching staff somewhere.

I tell Jeff all of the time that he needs to be a commentator. He'd be great on TV.

What an awesome interview is Woody. One of the best I've seen. Very articulate and knowledgeable

I wish he was made available every time, for me personally I think he gives the best interviews, this includes this entire coaching staff for me too.

He is great. Great energy always, honest, and a good player. I agree, I think he'll have great success in any career he'd take, but would be a natural behind a mic.

Great interview. Seems like he's very comfortable with the media. Great example of how sports can prepare you for more than a life in professional sports. He's got a bright future.

Re: CFTV: Jeff Woody explains the Pistol offense

When he explained the Pistol, he didn't mention tight ends. Aren't the double tight ends part of the formation? Or is that just the variation that we have been envisioning with Brun and Bibbs?

Re: CFTV: Jeff Woody explains the Pistol offense

Good interview...scary/exciting they had roughly 8 rushing touchdowns in the scrimmage (is this due to our offensive line/pistol offense or the D-line being ineffective...)

I think just the variation we've been envisioning. Maybe a coach has mentioned something about it, but as we know from previous years just because a coach says it doesn't mean it will actually happen. In saying that I would be stunned if our offense doesn't use more double tight ends this year.

I was thinking he'd be knowledgeable enough and enthusiastic enough to be a coach. He would make a heck of a commentator though

Re: CFTV: Jeff Woody explains the Pistol offense

He just looks cut as well. He's always been a tank, but the neck and shoulders on this guy... Imagine having an accurate QB, a line that knows what it's doing, and either Brun and Bibbs on both ends, or Nealy and White out there balancing the line, with Woody direct behind QB. The options are limitless.

The stuff I'm hearing about coach K, I'm now very excited for this season. If it's the same ol' then oh well, I'll still love the heart and fight. But if this offense improves because of consistent line play, who knows what could be.
