    UNLV stomped on Cyclone Logo??

here is USA TODAY Link- "Before leaving field, UNLV players stomped on the ISU Logo at mid field" ??? What the _ell was this?? Listened to game on sirius and heard Walters and Bruns describe this but didn't realize this actually happened. Sounds to me like with the officals helping them as they did why be that upset?? Bruns said the last play was out of bounds. I live in a Mountain West City and see some games here, the zebra's have always been sub-par at best. I expect the MWC to come down on UNLV hard for this lack of sportmanship.

    Real class act.

If our logo has to take a stomping evertime cause the opposing team is mad at suffering a loss, then I hope it gets tore up all season long! Well' plant more next season!

That is why they are called the Rebels. That was very rebellish.
Hope someone posts the last play of those last two games to utube to remind us how close the "thrill of victory and pain of defeat" can be.

It looked to me that that was a prime example of a coach having no control over his players and about the same control over his emotions. Not very impressive. If I was one of their fans, I would be emberassed to say the least.

Their coach was just as much of an embarrassment as the players...if not more. Totally classless...I wonder what he is thinking after seeing the replay and his player being well out of bounds.

And to think...this guy is a leader of young men.

Did any one hear what their coach was saying while all of this was going on? Channel 5 had a microphone in his face the whole time and he just went on and on about how it should have been reviewed. And that was edited too, just imagine if it was raw footage. My ears would bleed.

A couple times I could read his lips. Yes, I think there were expetives. Mainly, from what I saw, he was demanding that his team stay on the field and cameramen get away from them.

Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

Circle the 2008 meeting with UNLV at their place. I'd say we aught to have some motivation...just as they will.

Re: UNLV stomped on Cyclone Logo??

Is anyone else a little disturbed with the use of smiley faces.....frownie faces....rebellious faces.....

I just read through Bryceman's post and am a little worried. I'm thinkin i saw 3 in the course of 2 sentences. This needs to be addressed.

We need to start a grassroots movement to ban emoticons (yeah, i knew the term. and i'm not proud of it.) from sports/fan sites.

this has to happen and happen now.

    now who's with me?

Their coach was out of control, but I got a good laugh when they showed him tripping himself coming back onto the field over and over on Sound Off.

Re: UNLV stomped on Cyclone Logo??

 He certainly looked out on the same replay. In fact, he definitely did come down out of bounds first. Now, did the coach ever repent privately with McC or with the press or the public. Officially the play was reviewed by the official. The play was reviewed. Can you repeat that? The play was reviewed. Anyone know if the coach cooled off by now?

I read a couple of news articles yesterday, and it doesn't look like it. He keeps howling the same cry that he thought the play should have been reviewed - even though it was.
