Yes, I hope that OSU is a power house

and that Texas misses Mr. Young

Re: Did Texas' spanking by OSU give anyone at least a glimmer of hope?

It didn't really give me any hope after seeing the team speed, size, and athleticism of Texas. They are still at another level. I guess I would feel mildly hopeful had we hung 3 or 4 TDs on UNLV, but since ISU can't seemingly find the end zone due to poor execution and inept play calling from the sidelines, I don't have a lot of hope. But just perhaps the team will go down there with a nothing-to-lose, loose attitude like at Texa A&M last year and pull off a shocker.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Texas cannot afford another loss. Hook em horns got tangled up.

I already had a glimmer of hope, especially as we somehow tend to have played well against Texas in a few games when on paper they looked dominating. Having said that, the "spanking" that is on my mind is the one we seemed to take in the 2nd half of the UNLV game!

There is always at least a glimmer of hope. However, after Toledo and UNLV, we should be more concerned with our team getting on track than with any of our opponents. The balance of the season is in the hands of the Cyclones. What will they choose to do with it?

Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

I look at OU with more hope than Texas. OU is WAY, WAY overrated.

Re: Did Texas' spanking by OSU give anyone at least a glimmer of hope?

I agree about OU being overrated.

I think if OSU would have started Smith last year, Texas would have lost that game in Columbus, IMO. Zwick sucked all game long.

Look out for Misouri. They look like they got it going on.
