    Money Student ticket Questions

I should be getting my acceptance letter within the next week or so, and I'll be in Ames this fall.

Got a few questions though. Most importantly, how loans are dispersed after tuition and books are taken out. I pay my rent with my loans, so this is very important.

At DMACC about four to five weeks after the beginning of each semester, the remaining balance of the loans that we accepted is put on our HigherOne card for withdrawal (unless of course, we cancel them, and only use our loans for tuition and books). How does Iowa State do it? Is it a similar time frame?

Also, how do student football tickets, and Cyclone Alley/Basketball tickets work? Aren't the student football tickets the same as the general public's just discounted a bit? Football really isn't an issue for me, as my father and I have been spending all our time in the endzone the last few seasons (and plan on doing so again this season).

It's basketball tickets I'm most curious about though. I hear Cyclone Alley membership is different from tickets, I've also heard they are one and the same. It's all very confusing to me.

I've also heard in the past that you pay one flat price for a student season ticket, and you get into the football and basketball games. Though a friend of mine who's already in Ames says that was just a lie that someone said to me to get my hopes up.

Looks like All Sports passes are sold out. You used to be able to do it as you said. Your friend doesn't know.

I don't know the answer to your other questions.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

That's actually just left over from the past academic school year. I emailed the Ticketing Office about it earlier:

We do not currently have student tickets available. Those will go on sale in April. We do not have an exact date at this time, but we will email everyone prior to them becoming available.

Thank you for your continued support of ISU athletics!

As far as loans paid to ISU that result in a surplus, I've had the money automatically direct deposited into my bank account set up with AccessPlus. I would assume this happens to anyone who ends up with a surplus.

Yep, they won't let a surplus from your loans sit in your account. You can set it up to auto deposit to your bank acct. That is good and bad. It is a little bit of a nuisance when you know some of the charges won't be on your ubill until the next month and you would just like to let some of the money sit.

You need to order your all-sports when they become available this spring but you can put it on your ubill and I don't think it gets charged until August.

    Re: Money Student ticket Questions

Anyone know yet when the All-Sports tickets for next year are going on sale? My son texted all in a panic today thinking they had started and he missed the boat, but I didn't see anything on the website and he hasn't gotten an email.

Athletics announced that student tickets go on sale today, but I don't believe they have yet. Keep checking email and the ISU Athletics Facebook and Twitter accounts.

They won't sell out today (or for a while - last year, basketball tickets lasted until July and football tickets lasted even longer), so there really shoudn't be any panic.

He read on the Athletics Facebook page they were going on sale soon and he is hounding me because he is soon going to be in some class where he can't just go online and order them. If anybody gets their email, let me know, I don't want his wrath if he doesn't get them soon.

    Re: Money Student ticket Questions

I need one of those "email JP" people on the All Sports at this point. Yesterday on the ISU Athletics Facebook page they said they would start selling them yesterday. Son still has no email from them and their phone message says they are not selling them yet. He wants me to keep checking while he is in lab this afternoon. Not sure why they put that on the Facebook page if they weren't actually going to start selling them yesterday. He is pretty paranoid, but it is the only way really to ensure bball tickets.

I have checked a few times that least couple days, and I am starting to get frustrated. I know I will be able to get them, but still, lets get this going.
