    Re: IMPACT INCOMING FRESHMAN

I think the post players will make a bigger impact, simply because of the losses of Pop and Anna under the hoop. If they can do ANYthing, it will make the game easier for Kidd and Moody (and Jadda) outside the paint. Perimeter scoring threats will be our key to the next season, but in order for them to be successful, the new post players are going to have to produce from scratch.

Buckley, easy. Hallie and Jadda will be the best players on the team next year.

    Re: IMPACT INCOMING FRESHMAN

I have my fingers crossed that Jensen and Gambino will have a significant positive impact, because we will need it, even if in short bursts. I'm still hoping that Maddie saw what it takes to compete and works hard in the off season to be an impact player. With enough work, it's possible.

I also think Johnson is going to be incredibly valuable in various ways.

But I'd have to agree that the most impact will likely come from Jadda -- if/when she is strong enough to hold her own in the Big 12.

In addition to depth this year, the biggest weakness was ball-handling. Overall I'm really impressed with what Nikki accomplished given the load she carried with minutes and defensive pressure. When she got physically tired, she also got mentally tired.

Our offense next year will have two or three players who have the skills and smarts to make our offense work efficiently for 40 minutes. That will have an impact.

Just the guard experience period will also be a factor. An experienced point guard or guard combo helped get underdog teams like Kansas, Nebraska, and OU to the Sweet 16 this year.

All great points and yes need quality guard play.

    Re: IMPACT INCOMING FRESHMAN

Jadda is the one I expect to have an impact from the get-go. The one I think could be a surprise, as in better than we might think, is Johnson.

There will be a lot of work to be done on the inside. If Hallie has to play the five, other than when match-ups dictate, we're in trouble.

    Re: IMPACT INCOMING FRESHMAN

This is a tough question to answer. The highest expectations are for Buckley because she is so local, we know much about her and she is the highest rated recruit we may have ever signed. Johnson is a wild card. Crazy talented I see her somewhat like Hal. Not as big (so size won't cause mismatches), but quick, agile, and can play multiple positions. Her impact might be smaller next year, but long term very high potential. So, that being said, I agree that how we fill in the gaps left my Anna and Pop is critical. If a combination of Jensen, Gambino, and Maddy can be solid then I put my bets for biggest impact there.

    Re: IMPACT INCOMING FRESHMAN

From what I have seen of them playing and in highlights, I think it will be Seanna. Jadda is good, but Seanna had just as big an impact on her team, and is at least as, if not more versatile. I'm concerned about the post players, because it will be hard to replace what ISU has had.

-Be kind. That is something you will never regret. You will never say to yourself when you are old "I wish I was not good to that person".

    Re: IMPACT INCOMING FRESHMAN

Assume Jadda comes in and is ready to play along with Nikki and maybe Kidd.

Does Seanna play guard or forward?

What is the possibility that Brynn, who is listed as G/F, goes to the 4 -- kind of a Nisleit style player?
