    OSUTechnical?

Seeing the OSU walk-on sprint onto the court Sunday after Aaron Craft hit the buzzer-beater made me wonder: As a former walk-on, do you have any rules for walk-ons to follow?
    —Anthony

For those who missed it, Jake Lorbach of Ohio State ran onto the court to celebrate after Craft hit the game-winner, which would have been perfectly acceptable except there was still time on the clock. The referees would’ve been justified in giving Ohio State a bench technical. But since refs hate Iowa State, no tech was called and Lorbach narrowly avoided having to find his own ride back to Columbus.

If we hit two technical free throws and received the ball, would we have it under the OSU bucket or our bucket for the last half second?

I doubt it is under their basket but if it is at midcourt we have a lot better chance of making something than the full length of the court

Not a college official but I believe technicals went to point of interruption a couple years ago, so in this case it would have been under the OSU bucket as that was the point of interruption (the made basket). Maybe a college official will tell me I'm wrong.

Correct. Its an administrative technical and the ball would have been inbounded from the same spot.

They could have called a tech on us earlier when McGee hit the 3 in the corner because McBeth came out on the court and actually said something to Thomas on OSU.

I just want the refs to enforce correctly the main rules. It would be am embarrassment to win because of the enforcement of these piddly rules.

They would never call something like this, especially since it didn't affect play.

I noticed that too and wondered. But I tend to notice and get angry about piddly **** when we lose games.

    what did he say?

Is this a dagger which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee; I have thee not, and yet I see thee still. Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible To feeling as to sight? or art thou but A dagger of the mind, a false creation, Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain? I see thee yet, in form as palpable As this which now I draw.

True. This would have ended up in the thread about screw jobs that actually went our way.

I would take a "screw job" win, but prefer it would happen against a team where we are the underdog...such as Kansas!
