I always enjoy reading Pat Forde's "Forde Yard Dash", he made some pretty interesting discussion, making comparisons between English Premiership soccer and if the idea of promoting and demoting the bottom teams from major conferences and the top 10 in Division II based on Sagarin ratings.
I was almost concerned that he would demote us since I didn't know where we lied in the Sagarin ratings, but he promoted UNI to the Big Ten and demoted Minnesota.
Curiously though, he put North Dakota State in the Pac 10????
The first part of the article talks about all the firings that have taken place so far in college football as well.
Well, I guess because they already play a couple of Cali teams in the Great West...
Still, every other team in that conference (excluding the Arizona teams) lies in a state that touches the Pacific, there has to be at least a 1,000 miles between ND State and the closest team in the Pac 10.
There has always been some rumblings (not sure how true they were) about some dancing between Colorado and the Pac-10...that doesn't seem too strange really...if the Big 12 ever broke up completely I could see that happening.
