My laptop will not stay connected to my home WIFI.

My laptop seems to drop it's WIFI connection and then when i go to reconnect it shows no networks found and then I have to restart my laptop in order for it to work again. Any suggestions? I assume it's a bad driver issue.

You need to wrap your laptop in foil to improve reception.

How old is your router? The radios in them are on constantly and they do eventually wear out.

I had a modem and router in one from Qwest that went bad after about 5-6 years. Ended up getting separate components and the newer technology was worth the change.

It's definitely the laptop. Gf has one and it works fine for her.

I learned this trick a few years ago from a roommate in college. If your laptop isn't connecting to the internet, put it in the microwave for 6 seconds to charge up the wifi wave receptor.

Wife's laptop did something similar once. Updated the wireless card/network drivers and it fixed it.
