    Replays

Yes, I realize this won't change anything, and in all reality it isn't actually a direct reflection on the late game calls against Iowa State. After listening to people talk about using replay during the last 2 minutes of a game, and others saying it would lengthen the game too much, I started thinking about the other replays that happen and extend the game. During the NCAA tourney, there were a bunch of flagrant foul replays that slowed down the game. Not a single one of them actually changed the outcome of a game. Not a single one was really something that I didn't see, at game speed, and know that someone connected an elbow onto the face of another player. Get rid of those replays and make the O's call the flagrant fouls from the court. If they really are in doubt of whether a flagrant was a 1 or a 2, they can review.

In place of all the wasted time with all the flagrant and non-flagrant foul reviews, add just a few situations in the final minutes of games. I'm not really sure I want them reviewing judgment calls, but calls similar to Sunday should be reviewed. Standing on the restricted line, who touched the ball last going out of bounds, whether a player was out of bounds are all reviewable.

This. NBA has added, and it's a great rule. You want to get it right, and the last 2 minutes are critical. Bad calls can happen at any point during the game, but you can recover from them early on. Tough to do so in the last 2 minutes (or 4.9 seconds...)

    Re: Replays

Review in the last two minutes with some sort of challenge by the coach would make sense. The flagrant elbow rule has to go. Intentional elbow would be fine, but it is ridiculous to penalize an offensive player when a defender is on top of him and connects with an elbow.

    Re: Replays

I guess my real comment / question is do you steal the time from the (stupid) review of flagrant fouls. Biggest complaint I've heard towards review in the final 2:00 is the extra time to finish a game.

    Re: Replays

How about this because time is slowed to an absolute snail pace anyway, get rid of a timeout for all teams, that means atleast two less chances to call timeout in a final minute where there seems to be about five in the final minute and make questionable calls reviewable in the final two minutes.

    Re: Replays

I think the last 2 minutes of the game should have reviews. At the very least, coaches should get 1 challenge option available per half.

    Re: Replays

so what if there's a terrible call with 2:01 left on the clock? Only being able to review a bad call during the last two minutes is stupid. If you lose by just a couple points than what's the difference if the bad call happened at the end or the beginning of the game? Give each team three challenges per game like the NFL.

    Re: Replays

Why do we even care how long games last? I'd rather have won the KU game and had a better shot at a sweet 16 than watching my local news. Jesus... I just want the calls to be right. Give the coach a challenge flag and let him throw two per game. You don't think ISU would have somebody watching TV to let Fred know when to throw down?

    Re: Replays

I really don't care how long games last, but the only reason I hear against review is the length of games. I'd rather have review too.
