    Some people's kids.

“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

    Re: Oh No!!!!

WOW, golpher fans are either more delusional or naive than Iowa fans. Or a combination. I agree that the big 10 is tougher this year than the big 12. But they are acting like it has always been that way, will always be that way. And we will always have to build a team off of transfer at ISU, and we will never get the top talent in Iowa even with Fred. (and by top talent he points out Brunner, and Oliver, for the hawks.

You just can't make this stuff up

“I’ll put any dollar that if I get this ball again,” Long said, “It’s going in.”
    - Naz Long to Markel Brown before hitting the game tying shot.

    From a guy named herkyhawkeye

"Teams that think they are going to steal Hoiberg or Paul Rhoads from ISU are really grasping at straws. YOu can never say never, as no one saw Cael Sanderson leaving for PSU Wrestling but Hoiberg and Rhoads are both Cyclone through and through. YOu can definitely try but I doubt you get anywhere here. They dont call the guy the Mayor for nothing. Hoiberg is a demi god in Ames.

Pollard has actually done a good job of hiring a few legitimate coaches that are in it for the long haul."

Gopher fans need to recognize how delusional they are when a Hawk is a voice of reason. (Actually, he was really complimentary, which was nice.)

    Re: Oh No!!!!

That thread is all sorts of fun. Hell, I kind of feel like going over there and stirring up the pot. :)

I think the funniest part is that someone posts that they don't trust using transfers to build a program. You kind of want to point them in this direction where we have probably hundreds of posts waxing poetic about our transfers and how much we loved watching them play and how wonderful they are and how awful it is that it is over now and how much they wanted to win. Collectively, we are an emotional basketcase over the fact that the transfer era is over! We kind of just need one big group hug at this point. (And by the way, that is kind of why I love this site. I'm not over the whole thing yet, so I appreciate knowing I am not the only one!)

I don't see any posts over there about how they lost in a tough game where they (kind of) battled back after being behind by 18 points and how much they are going to miss their players.

    Re: Oh No!!!!

Wow...so much fail by the poster trying to make a point about how they think Minnesota is a better job than ISU. I've never thought of Minnesota as any better than ISU. The only time they have had any success in the modern era is when Clem Haskins was paying academic counselors to do homework for his players. So you're saying the only time you've been relevant in the last 20 years is when your coach cheated? Ok. Sign me up for that prestigious program!

    That's really saying something.

This Hok fan gives me hope that maybe, just maybe there are other Hoke fans out there that don't just see the world through Hayden Fry tinted glasses.

Oh No???? That's an odd title for a thread. What's so bad about other schools wanting what we have? That means we have a good thing. Even they know they have no chance to get it. Oh Yes!!!!

    Re: Oh No!!!!

Minnesota is just a middle of the road job in the Big 10. They will never be Indiana, Michigan, MSU, Ohio St, and the ceiling at Illinois is higher than it is at Minnesota in my opinion. Let them dream I guess

    Re: Oh No!!!!

Nobody wants Fred. He doesn't even have any coaching experience, let alone a Div I head coaching job.

Oops, I just got back from a 3 year hop in my time machine. Funny how fast things change.

    Re: Oh No!!!!

The only point that I would agree with them on is when it comes to compensation. Isn't Freddie the 2nd or 3rd lowest paid coach in the Big 12? That **** has got to change, stat.
