    Good Monte Morris Article

Great article on Morris from today's Detroit Free Press. Incredible toughness and heart shown by this kid. Can't wait for him to come to Ames!!

I especially liked the part about everyone leaving Beecher and telling him that he should go somewhere else to develop his game and him telling his coach that he wasn't going anywhere. It doesn't sound like he is a kid that will bail on ISU if things start to get a little tough.

With kids like Morris and Thomas coming into the program and adding them to Niang and Ejim, I have no doubt about our competitiveness next year. Fred will have this team ready to go once we hit the conference season and we will be a team that needs to be accounted for.

Damn. I'm really excited for Monte to be a 4 year starter and be the next great ISU point guard!

It seems like Fred has a real knack for finding, and getting commitments, from high character, high basketball IQ players. Thats a LOT harder to do than finding the guy who can do the 360 windmill dunk.
