Big bumpin' - our strength & conditioning coach deserves some plaudits
What we saw last night was impressive for many reason. The strength of our players was what really surprised me. I wish that I had gifs to demonstrate what I mean, but our guys just looked beefier than ND's, and I didn't expect that.
Niang, for his lack of height, sure can bump and bang down low. I loved seeing him enter the paint in defensive transition by running right at Cooley and bumping into him. He did this multiple times and really moved Cooley off his base each time.
Another one I noticed had to do with Babb - he was playing great D and chasing his man around, but didn't see the screen until it was too late - for the other guy. Babb ran into a screen and the other guy went flying. Love to see that.
Our S&C team is underappreciated!

You know, there were all those comparisons of Royce to Barkley last year, but by the time Georges is a senior, he is going to be throwing guys all around down there. Pair that with his incredible bball skills and I forsee the price of my season tickets going way up(which I will happily accept with continued success).
