Great interview! The best part was at the end when Georges said he was just happy to be here and happy to be a Clone!

Not sure what'll happen Sunday, but I'm soaking up this one.

An aside: Whether it's in-game commentary or print, any focus on Niang usually comes along with the Noel connection. Twelve months ago, would anyone have guessed UK's only "involvement" in the 2013 tournament would filter through an Iowa State player?

Great observation. It's guys like Niang that show CFHs smarts...get guys that work for his system...and guys others are now drooling over that could have offered, but were too busy looking at Nerlins.

How exciting is it that we were led by two returning players? Obviously, the shooters around the perimeter are responsible for the room inside, but it's a great sign for the future if we can restock (and I think we did).

I love the swagger/confidence/leadership Niang showed against their quality bigs. It was like he was saying, you might be bigger and everyone may be right about you being better than me, but Im still going to beat you. Having a rock like that coming back will be huge for the new guys coming in, too.

Plus he did all of this on a pretty big stage. Big night for him.

    Re: Article:"it was carnage."

I watched Niang when his prep team was on TV and was just amazed at his footwork in the post and his all around game and was very excited that Iowa State inked this player. Niang is very good down low for his size because of his footwork and his angles going to the rim, but he can shoot it as well. Once he gets stronger and works on his face up game I would hate to be an opposing coach and oh yeah we can shoot lights out as well.

I like Niang's confidence and swag its exactly what we need, but just hope his trash talking does not get him into to much trouble and our team, but he is a smart kid so doubt it. Just play your game Iowa State and the rest will take care of itself.
