It was, but it's a nice read on a great game, so probably deserves its own thread.

"Some of that was Iowa State's defense, but a lot of it was just careless mistakes by the flailing Irish."

I kinda like that...The Flailing Irish.

Looks like Jack Cooley can now spend more time playing Skyrim.

Wow, pretty high praise. Definitely respect Brey as a man and coach:

"They're so potent offensively," Notre Dame coach Mike Brey said. "They keep you spread, and at times I really felt it was men playing against boys. They're really, really good. They're men."

And thinking about his glory days against DePaul.

Re: ESPN Recap: ISU vs. Notre Dame

Wonder what Digger Phelps has to say about this game, considering he gave us no chance to win this earlier in the day (and Seth Greenberg pretty much accused him of being blinded by his clover-shaped glasses)

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

It's kind of the exact 180 opposite of what Roy Williams says every single time he loses.

That girl he dates from DsM ... suppose he's ever met her?

That's a nice quote. I agree, I have a lot of respect for Brey. He didn't have the horses to match up, and Freddie took them apart.
