    CBS Studio Analysts

    Anybody listen to Greg Anthony, Seth Davis and and Kenny Smith? Never gave us a chance in my view. It was ND pretty much the whole pre game. Charles Barkley was the only one who thought we could win it. Lot of fun to listen to them back tracking at the end. Go clones!!!!!!!!!!

    Eh. Notre Dame is a really good team. And our record is much worse than our talent...we could very easily be a 2-3 seed if you eliminate the final 45 seconds of a 5 games this year. But you can't, and people don't recognize this fact.

    A studio analyst's job is to keep people interested in the game and keep their finger off the clicker. Producers know which markets to talk up, and if a game's a dog, when to start something between two of the guys to keep things interesting.

    Most TV analysts are handed their "thoughts" to articulate before the game. Don't sweat it.

    In the post-game on CBS 360 the announcers mostly talked about ND even though we just whooped their a$$ez. This tells me that they thought the domers would win and therefore prepped for them, not little ISU form the invisible Big12 conference. It was kind of sickening.

    Now that we have THE Ohio State University up next, it's going to be more of the same. This is the game I want to win to squash the Big 10 and educate people on the fact that Iowa is the corn state, not the potato.

    Did anyone catch the comment by Barkley at the halftime of our game. They were showing the KU-WKU highlights which featured Jeff Withey, and Sir Charles referred to him as "Whitey - uh Withey - uh Whitey - whatever his name is." I nearly bust a gut listening to him. Unbelievable that he covered KU throughout the tourney last year & still doesn't know his name. Anyway - just thought it was hilarious.


    Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

    The studio guys sucked, but Nantz and Kellogg were certainly loving all over ISU during the live broadcast. They had gift wrapped an ISU victory with about 9 and a half minutes left in the game which is pretty unusual even with a 20 point lead.

    Oh...emm...geee...this is not butthurt, that's not good enough...this is .... vaginahurt. We won the game, stop whining about the coverage team.
