    Memo to Alford

Do something different on defense dude! Harvard is kicking your sorry ***** because you refuse to do anything different! Then you go away from the inside game that has been working and getting buckets at will. Instead you hope to get off a 3 and you have 2 consecutive turnovers. How this guy got locked up for 10 years is beyond me. What a joke!

He's now caused two schools at the #3 seed to fall victim to a #14 seed. Love it!

New Mexico was NUTS to give him a contract deal like that. I couldn't believe it, when I heard it.

^You just knew given Alford's history of March choke jobs and the news of his new contract that tonight's outcome was possible, if not inevitable.

Will always be happy to see this guy lose. Even Iowa deserved better than they got with him. One of Bob Bowlsby's few mistakes.

Whats hard to believe? He's been very good there. They just won the conference title for both the regular season and tournament. New Mexico being a 3 seed is insane. Gotta give him credit for that.

His problem is he puts to much emphasis on conference tournament and sucks in the tournament

NCAA tournament wins fade, conference tourney titles are forever

I would have gladly traded the three wins in the 2000 conference tournament for 3 more wins in that year's NCAA tourmament.
