    Best sporting Holiday

March Madness, NFL Playoffs, Bowl Season (maybe a separate option for just New Year's Day), Summer Olympics, or a write-in?

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

    March madness by a mile.
Much easier to fire up the grill and day drink.

NCAA wrestling on Friday and Saturday. Decides who ends up being an AA, tons of upsets (Long beating Robles in 2010 type of upsets), and every man on the mat being desperate creates a ton of excitement. Close second is opening round of NCAA MBB tourney.

He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

March Madness wins in a land slide, then bowl season.

For me the Superbowl is getting pretty lame, honestly.

I will throw a write in the for the World Cup and wait for the soccer haters to come.

By adding in the World Cup bit on the end, you missed a "like" from me. No loss, to be sure, but even so.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

    Re: Best sporting Holiday

I'd say the first weekend of March Madness is my favorite, followed by World Cup, then the rest of March Madness, then Bowl Season, Olympics, NFL Playoffs. Something like that.

ohhhhh good call on the volleyball, Triggermv. I definitely follow that very closely. I get into March Madness but I don't take time off for it and don't follow basketball the rest of the year.

Probably any of the restrictor plate races for NASCAR are fun, especially the July Daytona one. That I'll probably miss this year. Again.

    Re: Best sporting Holiday

The World Cup was a good write in. I'm not into it but for fans of that sport that's a pretty epic time I'm sure. I barely watch any bowl games outside the Big 12 anymore since I hate the BCS and the NFL/NBA playoffs are so spread out that it's tough to call it a holiday.

Guess I'm stuck with March Madness.

I love watching our girls play in the NCAA volleyball tournament. Not to mention that they are awesome.

If it was Super Bowl Saturday it would be the best.
