if we could swap with any 9 or other 10 seed would you want to?

a lot of people seemed to prefer a 9 seed over a 10 seed back on selection sunday. still have the same feelings now.

i guess i'm happy where we are. most think ohio st. is the weakest 2 seed and ND seems to be win-able.

would you swap if you could?

wichita st. then zags may be a push i suppose. zags may be the worst #1 seed. think i'd still rather lose to a big name school than the zags.

I'd swap to face Gonzaga in the second round. Think they're grossly overrated.

Nope ... can't wait to see those sweet shamrock shake unis ... and Kareem De Menthe! Plus, we play on Friday ...during Lent. Real Catholics still don't eat meat on Fridays ... and even the nominal ones give it up during Lent. I'm thinking they're gonna be worthless and weak by Friday night!!!

Cincy, get Creighton in round 1 and a shot at Duke in round 2.

I would have liked to play Illinois, but I'm not unhappy with our draw

I like our draw. I think the 8 seeds on the whole, are better than 6 seeds on the whole, and the 7 seeds on the whole this year. That being said, I would take Oklahoma's draw over ours. That is the only one...the only other one that is debatable is Colorado's IMO.

ISU wouldn't beat Pitt to even get a shot.

I think OU got the best draw out of all of those teams listed up there, but ISU is in the 2nd best position. They are the only ones that I would trade with.

Out of all those, I think ISU got the 2nd best draw. Id take first round w/ SD, then Georgetown...

I disagree 100% I hate Gonzaga more then anyone I know, but they are the real deal, IMO. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in the championship game.

I'd stay with who we got. If we shoot 3's and play a little better D than we did against Kansas, we can play with anybody. Go State!

Re: if we could swap with any 9 or other 10 seed would you want to?

I voted swapping with Colorado to get Illinois, then Miami — but I'd be equally OK as a 10 in the South, facing San Diego State, then (probably) Georgetown. I think the contrasting styles in that game is preferable to ISU-Miami, because this team tends to fare better vs. teams that are physical but can't always shoot well.

If nothing else in the brackets changed except the swap, ISU wouldn't be in 8/9 in the Midwest (because of Okla St at 5) or 8/9 vs Gonzaga (because of KSU at 4) or South (with 1 KU). That leaves 8/9 in East, and I'd be OK vs. NC State, but not sure if playing IU in next round is any better than facing Ohio State in similar setup.

I wouldn't choose 7/10 in Duke sub-region, because I wouldn't enjoy any storyline facing Creighton, even though I think ISU would do well there (but also probably wouldn't beat Duke).

Reality is just as good as anything, because if ISU did happen to go two rounds, West seems most likely to explode, and I like potential against anyone in the top half --- and then who knows? Just not as confident to get out of first weekend, because Ohio State hasn't had a bad loss all season and no losses at all the past month.

Re: if we could swap with any 9 or other 10 seed would you want to?

I agree that as it stands we have one of the two-three best draws. I'm happy with where we're at, but I'd also swap with Colorado (which I voted for) of Oklahoma.

Re: if we could swap with any 9 or other 10 seed would you want to?

I think we got a difficult 7-seed but the easiest 2 seed. I'd rather play Creighton out of all of the 7s (although the potential of losing to McDermott terrifies me) and Ohio State out of all of the 2s. All in all, a good draw for a 10.

I would rather be an 11 seed because the 6 and 3 seeds are pretty weak this year.
