    Wesley Johnson, call your office

Syracuse hoops under NCAA investigation. Key quote: " When asked to characterize how wide-ranging the probe might be, a source with knowledge of the case told CBSSports.com: “Throw a dart at the [NCAA] Manual [and you would hit a violation by Syracuse]."

Plausible deniability, it'll be booster or assistant coach that burns.

Re: Wesley Johnson, call your office

What I don't understand about that statement:

If the manual is closed and you throw a dart, even if Syracuse has just one violation, there is a very good chance that it hits that violation.

If the manual is open, there is still a good chance, even if there is just one, provided you hit the right side of the book.

Either way, there may only be one violation.

I've been watching a lot of detective shows lately.

And Harry Potter has been camping and for 200 pages and has gotten nowhere.

I remember Boeheim quoted as saying within last couple of weeks that college coaching is not all its cracked up to be, or words to that effect. I think he has known about the ByeBye for some time.

Re: Wesley Johnson, call your office

    Ya'll wanna know the truth?

Its failed drug tests left and right 4-5 years ago. And the Fab Melo thing last year (first academic one not the one right before the tournament.)

Everyone on the team smokes weed. I have smoked with most SU players who were there 03-09, gave one of the current players (think NBA draft pick) brother a lighter in the hotel last year before the elite 8 game etc etc. Harris and Devendorf were told to leave with a year of eligibility remaining b/c both had failed 4-5 weed tests at that point.

If we get busted its because college kids smoked weed, and because of the first Fab Melo incident last year when we let him come back for a couple months before suspending him for the tournament. That all there is.

(If I wasn't 100% positive there was/is absolutely nothing worse I wouldn't be posting this on an open forum but that is literally all there is.)

Meanwhile...Kentucky just paid 6 figures to sign a kid who doesn't even have a scholarship open for him and noone cares....

Mike Hopkins (assistant coach who is an amazing recruiter and our offical coach in waiting and former SU star player) unofficially has been offered the USC job. Boeheim might be pushed out by our AD so Syracuse doesn't lose him to USC (hes from LA) or someone else. Its one of the reasons Boeheim has been so cranky and apathetic with the media.

Re: Wesley Johnson, call your office

I'm all for someone trying to keep teams honest, but I hate the NCAA doing it. The NCAA is like a self-righteous mob boss, who whacks one of his guys for skimming a little extra..then goes on to lecture about what a bad guy he had to kill. Screw the NCAA.
