ďUrgency,Ē Rhoads said. ďThatís exactly what I told our staff. Itís exactly what I told our players. Urgency in getting your job done. Thatís in a 100 percent rate of speed at executing your responsibility ó whether itís a fit, whether itís a tackle, whether itís a route, whether itís a cut-off block. Everybody needs a little bit more urgency in coaching and playing.Ē

Not a huge leap for football.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Hawks go D-III, we would never have to play them in Kinnick again. LOL

    Re: Delaney's ridiculous bluff

Good for SI calling Delaney on this. My favorite part of the article:

"The Ivy League schools once ruled college football. Then they de-emphasized athletics. The move didn't hurt them at all from an academic or reputation standpoint. It didn't hurt major college football, either. The sport rolled merrily along without them. Just like the Ivy League schools, the Big Ten schools don't need major college football, and major college football doesn't need them."

    Re: Delaney's ridiculous bluff

Ok dude. Why are you adding Maryland and Rutgers again. If they don't want the Big 10 network, you'll be ok with that right?

So basically he's say if the conference can't have all the money, nobody can?

I can't believe he actually said it out loud more than anything. Do you know how fast OSU and Michigan would be joining a conference? Really fast.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

    Re: Delaney's ridiculous bluff

Don't agree with Delaney. But if the suit prevails it will change major college athletics and could push us to a more European system of club teams for football and basketball. Basketball already has the start with AAU, but football has nothing and uses high school and college to prepare it's athletes for the NFL. So if the kids are going to get paid, it will change the model and NFL teams will be forced to have a minor league system, as most schools will be unable to afford both paying athletes and keeping up with the Texas, OSU, Florida and Alabama's of the world.

    It would suck for ISU.
