    ISU fan in Minneapolis

So I am visiting the Twin Cities tonight and listening to local sports radio. Some random person calls in and asks the host what he thinks about the Cyclone's chances against ND. That was fun to hear far from home. What were the chances the caller is a regular CF poster?

10,000 alumni here in the Twin Cities, could have been any one of them. I wasn't me!

If it was KFAN... they surprisingly talk more ISU than you'd think. Like to get Hoiberg on from time to time considering is ex-T-Wolve.

Talked a lot of ISU/Royce last winter too.

By the way... Paul Allen and the Common Man are awesome.

Would be cool if ISU could get a home and home with Minnesota in football or basketball.

Home and home with Minnesota in basketball would be amazing. I'd go to both ends of that one, no questions asked. I think a lot of Minny fans would do the same. They'd certainly rather come to Hilton than that crap heap east of here (at least until they got a taste of the Magic).

I see ISU plates every few weeks it seems. Lots of fans/alums in this area.

I would be all over that one

I was really disappointed to hear Henry Lake is going to KC, not only that but he will be covering the blue chickens. He was one of the only reasons I listened to Dan Barreiro on my drive home.

It was KFAN in the evening and the host had nice things to say about ISU. Good to know that the ISU influence is spreading

My guess is that the Gophers want no part of that. Fred already has enough name recognition in the area from his T-Wolves days and being on good terms with the local media. The last thing they need is to give him additional recruiting exposure with Minnesota kids.

I think this needs to happen. What a great home and home against a decent team. Plus with Hoiberg recruiting like crazy up there it could only help.

    Re: ISU fan in Minneapolis

There is always a good showing when ISU plays in the barn whether it is Men's or Women's basketball. Mrs. Velo and I get over there whenever they play up here and the ISU fans certainly make their voices heard.

ISU fans in the Twin Cities would love to see ISU play up here more in BB and FB.

P.S. It wasn't me on the radio, either.
