FOUL TROUBLE COULD BURST THAT BUBBLE

I guess my question is the following:

What do you THINK that CFH will do to negate the ND Bigs in the post?
    and
Do you think Booker and Gibson will be able to hold the floor for 3-5 minute stints IF Niang and Ejim get in foul trouble or do you think CFH will put a 4 gaurd type line-up on the floor if Niang or Ejim gets in trouble to force ND to play the quick up tempo style to match them?

Bubble can't burst once we're in.

Thread title was kind of loud. The Caps Lock key doesn't have to be down.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

Probably go with Booker/Gibson early, and the 4 guard lineup late. It's seems like that's what has been done almost all season in that situation.

Seems like Fred is spreading the minutes around a bit to keep them out of foul trouble.

Hit 3's and take advantage of their speed deficiency? Stay on the offensive making ND change to a smaller line-up.

Re: FOUL TROUBLE COULD BURST THAT BUBBLE

Well for one thing, we shouldn't have the moron's we had during the Big 12 season officiating the game. Fouls should be called pretty evenly - I hope. So, I do believe this could be a pretty even match up given that fact.

Probably see some zone, and hope they don't hit too many from outside. But ND has experience playing against the zone since they play in the B-east so they'll be patient and attack the zone with ball movement and get it inside.

I'm not getting a good feeling about this game

Re: FOUL TROUBLE COULD BURST THAT BUBBLE

booker has been pretty solid on D lately. i expect to see quite a bit of him. im sure ND will attack the inside to get ejim and niang in foul trouble like evryone else has done.

i'm not getting a good feeling about this game either. i dont think ND is a good matchup for us. we are gonna have to knock down the 3s to win this game, and we all know how bad the shooting has been outside of hilton

That is what I am hoping Ejim and Niang do. Drive on them and force contact. If we get their bigs in foul trouble, then we can drive and dish all game long.

I hate the zone, but at times we're effective with it as a change up to throw the opponent off. Can't go to sleep on the back side of it.

Re: FOUL TROUBLE COULD BURST THAT BUBBLE

I thought Booker played well in the Kansas game. He got two phantom foul calls on him right away which hurt what he could contribute. I doubt he will get those kinds of calls in the NCAA. Also I thought Percy played well also. I think their main problem is boxing out and rebounding right now, their defense has been improving. We will see what happens, we need people to box out, and play good interior defense.

The bubble is alive and well after yesterday, but I agree, the only way ISU pulls it out Friday is if Ejim/Niang/Percy/Book cut out the dumb fouls. After looking at ND's roster today, it looks like we're going to need every one of them.

ND is gonna kill us on the glass. we have been giving up alot of offensive boards lately. ND seems to be a good rebounding team and can score easily against us on the inside
