I think a National Title is well within reach.

I think we can go to the Sweet Sixteen if we play well, and from there it's really about the next match up. New Mexico would be tough.

I think that our beloved Clone basketballers will go as far as the 3 point shot will take us....

Re: ***OFFICIAL: How far will the Cyclones go Thread***

As shown all year...this team has the potential to beat anyone or lose to anyone. Key to the tournament is defense IMO. We've shown the ability to win when the 3 ball isn't dropping but it all starts on the defensive end.

one game at a time............winning game 1, then OSU gets 48 hrs to prepare for this team

    I like those odds.

Re: ***OFFICIAL: How far will the Cyclones go Thread***

not sure i really like either of the first two matchups. after reading the analysis by blum all i could think about was how k-state worked us over in game two with their bigs. if the irish feed their bigs and have success by either scoring or getting ejim or niang in foul trouble we are in a lot of hurt.

if we make it to round two, i think craft would abuse KL both offensively and defensively. we have too many lazy turnovers and craft would be all over that (he is top 45 in country).

It's very possible to lose to ND, but I still think we can outshoot them and get to matchup with OSU. Ohio State is just too physical for us though and outside of Babb we don't have enough D to get by them.

Re: ***OFFICIAL: How far will the Cyclones go Thread***

The keys to this team are defense and playing team ball on offense. When they pass...make the extra pass...on offense it opens people up and the shots usually fall. When they try to score quickly without flow we tend to stink. Defense has to get some stops and rebound like crazy...unlike how we did against KU.

Win a close game against Notre Dame.
Lose kind of like we did to Kansas in the Big 12 Tournament. Close throughout but never really a threat.

Offense scores plenty to win. Defense continues to struggle with getting stops.

We beat ND in our first game. OSU just plays too tough and physical of defense. Craft would be all over Lucious both offensively and defensively. Never really close, but not a blowout either.

Agree with Bobby, go as far as our shooting will take us. If we shoot like we did the past couple games, not too far. If we shoot like we can... then we can beat anyone.

If we get to OSU, may be tough to drive the middle unless we kick it back out. Will might be negated on his driving, maybe not. KL lobs inside could be interesting. Might get some hustle offensive boards from Melvin. Thinking this would be Tyrus going off type game.

I think you all should wait for Ohio state to play Iona before you praise their defense. Iona is in the top ten in scoring nationally if I remember correctly. If they allow them to score 60+ I like our odds.

Gotta take care of nd. Just shoot well and rebound well. We will be fine.

Fred n has several options with his team. He is not without solutions. Percy may come in handy.
