    Why is everyone complaining?

Unlike the first two games, we got beat fair and square. Lucious and Clyburn didn't show up, and Kansas outplayed us. To those complaining about bad officiating and Bill Self are just poor sports/idiots. We lost a game, grow up. Hopefully this performance motivates us to a sweet 16 run. Go cyclones!!

This. I don't see much, if any, complaining right now.

I agree with most your points but I think you took a lot out of context and didn't need a new thread for this.

    Re: Why is everyone complaining?

The refs were bad. Doesn't mean the game would've been any different, but still doesn't excuse the poor ref job.

But then again, all college refs suck. You just hope you're recipient of the bad calls, and in these games ISU almost never is.

Watching NBA reffing is a relief compared to college reffing.

    Re: Why is everyone complaining?

    Nobody's really complaining.

    We ended our loss streak.
We're headed to the tournament for the second time in 2 years in the 3rd year of a new coach, after several years of complete futility.
We shouldnt be in either the 8\9 game or the play in game.
We 've gotten to the point where a loss to a top 5 team actually bothers us again.

A lot to really be happy about when you look at it from a wider perspective.

ISU's defense was much worse then the officiating.

We lost. We don't like it. It makes us unhappy.

Yes. Things are still good. That will be tomorrow's view, along with 2 threads about Fred's emotion and a few beatings of Korie.

I don't like it either but I must admit that I remember when no one gave a **** 3 years ago and this is much better.

    Re: Why is everyone complaining?

If we had to go down, this might be the way to go right before the tourney. They did not play well in many phases of the game, and that will give Fred lots to hammer home with adjustments heading into the tourney. Hopefully its the kind of loss that really gets the teams attention.

Yeah, I think I would rather get thoroughly whooped than have our hearts ripped out. It sucks but I think it will be easier to get over plus they have a long time to get over it.
