Listening Murph & Andy? KU more talented?

I think I just heard Andy say KU is the most talented team between KU & ISU? Thoughts? On any given day we compete with talent, yes our road record will haunt us when comparing but don't tell me other teams know what we do in the confines of Hilton when they visit, we compete to the point of one loss (and that loss has been threaded out)

KU is more talented. Doesn't mean we can't beat them.

KU is more talented. It doesn't mean we won't win, but you really can't make a valid argument that we have more talent

You think they aren't? KU has excellent players. Even in a down year, they are one of the best in the B12

They have the more highly rated recruits on average, but I wouldn't say there is much of a gap with who will hit the floor today.

for about 40 minutes at least. Add an OT and it seems like we cant hang.

Not with the way both games went to OT anyway

KU is more talented but that is why we shoot the 3 ball, it helps even out that talent gap.

Just interesting right into show going this, I'll say we compete any given day with our players, and would agree that they have highly recruited athletes. I'm just stimulating discussion on a slow sports day

Re: Listening Murph & Andy? KU more talented?

McLemore is pretty freaking talented, and you don't put up 39 in a college game without some talent. I would say this, if you asked an NBA scout who had more talent, they would say KU. So its not really a contentious point.

To hang in the onslaught at Hilton just to even allow the refs to blow it was extraordinary. With that being said, let's go beat them tonight.

So CFH will give up the 3 ball when he gets the talent?

KU has at least two first round draft picks on their team right now, of course they're more talented.

Re: Listening Murph & Andy? KU more talented?

I would agree. If nothing else, their talent definitely runs deeper into their line up. and I think it shows in how we went to overtime with them twice and lost decisively in over time. But, that's what's so awesome about team sports, sometimes you can put what you have together and as a team, come out the victor.

Re: Listening Murph & Andy? KU more talented?

Pretty easy math, KU won more games against the same schedule as us. They are either more talented or better coached. Obviously Bill Self is one of the best coaches in the game, but I don't think he's that much better than Fred that it accounts for the total difference in record. I don't really see where the debate is.

But we have a more dreamy coach, hands down.
