    Samsung Galaxy S IV

Anyone else going to be paying attention to the big unveiling on Thursday? This is going to be my next phone...not because I always get the latest gadgets but because I happen to need a new phone and decided to hold out a few weeks for this one. I just hope it's available soon because my Droid X has turned into a real POS.

But if you're into the specs, it sounds like this could be pretty impressive.

I feel your pain, I've been on a Galaxy Nexus that recently crapped out (hopefully will get fixed soon) but I've gone back to my Droid X as well. Android phones have gotten so much better since this thing...it's frustrating. Gonna wait it out for an GSIV I think

This is my situation as well...and it seems like I have always got a new phone when that phone was on the way out...so I will hold off a few weeks and most likely get the S IV. I was excited about the HTC One...and the phone itself seems great! But some quirky/creative software might scare me away from that phone...

How much will the price of the SIII drop with the IV coming out soon? I NEED a new phone in the worst way.

    Re: Samsung Galaxy S IV

Don't want to derail the thread but if you guys want the latest and greates technology on your phones, go and learn to unlock/root your phones so you can install the newest ROMS(droid operating systems). You get rid of all the bloatware on the phone and get new features that the newer phones won't see for 8 months. Yes you can brick your phones and yes it can void your warranty but if you're careful you'll have no problems. I would bet the rom I'm running on my GS3 is newer than the rom that will be on the GS4.

Not for everybody but if you're techy at all and like to tinker with stuff, it can get addicting. I'm proof

    Not me

Motorola X Phone specs: Quad-core CPU and 4.7-inch full HD display | BGR

I am waiting for the Google/Motorola X phone this summer. I am going to buy it outright from Google rumored price is $299 or $399 with different amount of storage. Then I am going to cut the ties to the cell phone company contract and get a better price each month.

I hope you are correct about that price...that would be nice. I was under the impression that price was with a contract from a phone company. Looks like a great phone for sure!

Did some searching and was not able to find a reference to the price I had seen before.

I am about to be off contract and am paying way more than people with pay as you go plans. I want to try to get off the contract for good.

I hear ya...contracts blow but it is the only way some of us can afford the phones we want (not "want" and not "need")!

    Re: Samsung Galaxy S IV

Did anyone follow the announcement yesterday? I have been reading about the phone...haven't come across any criticism other than it is pretty similar in some ways to the S3. That isn't the worst thing however when the S3 is pretty much accepted as one of the best phones.

Saw it, saw the reviews and agree with a few of them stating its underwhelming. Some cool new non touch gesture based stuff, but honestly who cares. It will never work as its supposed to. It pretty though. Just not as fascinating as HTC's One.

I just can't decide which phone to go with. It seems as though I have always got a phone in its waning glory days...only to have a much better phone released a few weeks later (probably can't stop this). I was excited about the One but a few of the programs installed on it seem gimmicky (words?). I was not too excited by the One's press day but now I am not all that excited by the S4 press day. Maybe I should just get an S3 when the price drops?
