    Grammar Errors

I tolerate many grammar errors, but the one that is drives me crazy is when someone says something like "me and Mike went to the game."

I no longer watch American Pickers because Mike and Frank violated this rule too often.

The misuse of "Their" and "There" or "Your" and "You're" really grinds my gears.

Should of, would of, could of

    Fewer/less

I try not to point them out though. People pointing them out in casual conversation drive me nuts because 95% of the time they just made or will make an error within 5 minutes of their correction.

    Re: Grammar Errors

    There, their and they're
    Mute
    v. moot
    Prolly
or pry rather than probably (I don't even think using prolly would qualify as a grammar error.)
    Loose when you mean lose
    Your
    and you're

I can probably come up with way too many of them.

So you were looking for their more common "...so me and Mikey" or the "...me and Frankie...?" You have to have the "ie" or the "y" in there to make it sound less cringeworthy!

    Re: Grammar Errors

I figure if you know what I am trying to say then we are good....lol

One thing I can't stand is people calling out spelling and grammar on message boards though.
When I post here I am typically on a mobile device or in a hurry...not time to proof

Sending a work email and sounding like an idiot is another thing though.

Sometimes it's just too hard to ignore though. When an entire post is full of errors, someone has to say something or they'll never learn.

and since you mention work emails.........I have little tolerance for misspelling my name when you are REPLYING TO MY EMAIL. I know it's not a name you've likely ever heard before, but there is no damn excuse when it's in the email.

To then attach a Powerpoint going out to a dozen people and showing who is responsible for what on a project and misspelling it there too is a good way to be permanently labeled "moron" in my head. No matter how big of a bigwig you are.
