Do we have room for another QB?

Would be a bad pickup lol

He'd only be here for a few months anyway.

Odd situation. The kid's burning a lot of bridges, although I think he responded to the criticism from Les Miles about as well as anyone could expect.

Re: Do we have room for another QB?

His uncle was a bit of an ND legend in several ways during the horrible Faust era. He did handle the Miles thing really well. ND is deep with qbs that are not particularly great, although they are probably a step up for us. I understand him being behind Golson and Ries on the depth chart, but I know nothing about the other guy he is behind. Wonder if his arm is anything like Blair's.

We would have room for him, as does almost any non powerhouse school.

Re: Do we have room for another QB?

    From the article.....

Kiel has good size at 6’4″ and 220 pounds, and possesses a solid arm, but he isn’t particularly accurate and doesn’t seem to have the feel for the position that separates top quarterbacks

Yea, we need another one of these QB's. And hey, the fact that he has a hard time keeping his commitments and doesn't communicate is just some addtional perks.....If Paul asks me, I'll suggest passing on this one!

Re: Do we have room for another QB?

Well we have one redshirt, some true freshman, and another who threw about 40% accurate in 2 of 3 games. I think we have room.

ALthough Im not sold on this guy.

Re: Do we have room for another QB?

If I was Gunner Kiel, I'd go to a FCS school. That's a way to get out of the spotlight and most likely not have to compete a lot for the job. He doesn't fit our offense a ton either to the best of my knowledge. He's not really a runner, although I expect to see less zone reads and designed quarterback runs depending on who gets the job this season.

He might fit the Hok offense, whatever it is supposed to be.

im pretty sure that guy committed to Indiana. Then decommitted and committed to LSU. Then decommitted and committed to Notre Dame.

And now he's leaving Notre Dame.

For Gods sake man, what do you want??

I'm completely sure that's what happened. 'Cause, ya know, I read the article.

Dayne Crist was god-awful transferring from ND to KU. Can't believe Weis was actually excited to get him.

    No thanks.
