Twins Fans: Aaron Hicks 3 HRs today

Hicks is 4-5 today with 6rbi and 3hr, including a leadoff homer against Cliff Lee. A couple probably wind aided opposite field homers and a no-doubter to LF.

Now hitting .407 on the spring with 12 RBI.

Spring stats don't mean much, but will be interesting to see if he is indeed now the Opening Day CF.

Re: Twins Fans: Aaron Hicks 3 HRs today

That's great to see! I really hope he is the Opening Day starter just so there's SOMETHING to be excited about as a Twins fan this year. But knowing how the Twins organization works, he'll start in Triple A and be brought up either in June so his arbritration clock doesn't start or not until September. If it's September there's going to be a lot of unhappy Twins fans.

The Twins have to know that this season is all about building for the future, and I don't see Darin Mastroianni's future being anything more than a 4th outfielder.

Saw him yesterday down here in Ft. Myers. As a Cards fan, had no idea who he was. But dude is impressive, I am a fan. He is put together and the ball pops off his bat better than most. I have a feeling Twins fans are gonna be seeing him in CF for a long while soon.

Brent, you need to go pop into the "Rank the last 6 bball coaches thread."

I need someone to take the bait on my Wayne Morgan postgame prowess over GMac comment so I can recount the Jiri Hubalek as a Galaga machine story again.

Can't wait until he puts together a fantastic season, gets a great contract, then gets hurt. The Twins Way.

Hopefully he'll give Twins fans something to cheer about this year. The Twins need starting pitching in the worst way and it could be a long year for them.

So frickin jealous of what they have in Ames. It's truly amazing what Fred has done coming in with 0 coaching experience.
