"They played more aggressive than they normally play".

Travis Ford referring to ISU last night. Pretty honest comment coming from another coach. It all starts with Clyburn. Fred said he challenged him before the game to do just that...play with more aggression. When he does that, and we do that as a team, we can play with anyone.

I could see the difference. Particularly on defense and loose balls. We played our best defense of the season in the first half, IMO. Not sure if the stats reflect that because OSU has some great scorers, but I sure was proud of the effort they gave.

If the can continue playing like that, they will beat WVU and can do some damage in the tournaments.

Agreed. We were crazy aggressive on the offensive boards. Defensively we did much better inside then I've seen all season. We have the talent to beat any team in the BIGXII. We keep playing like we did last night we can go far.

We held them to what, 29 points in the first half? I'd say that speaks volumes if you go back and see what other teams HAD been scoring against us lately. In the second half, things changed, but some of that was due to Marcus Smart going beast mode when he'd been asleep the first half.

Hopefully we can say "welcome to the new normal".

We got to the hoop from the 3 pt line a lot last night! Good to see that happen when the threes aren't falling!

Re: "They played more aggressive than they normally play".

We need Booker power. I am all for everyone playing aggressively, but Niang and Ejim need to be careful when people tick them off, because they get a little too aggressive and get into foul problems. Booker needs to be aggressive and smart, work the offensive boards, and stay smart but aggressive on defense. Gibson needs to look at what Booker did last night and say, "I can do that." Quit worrying about scoring a ton of points and give the team what it needs, not what you think you need.
