What will it take for a ref to call a moving pick against an ISU opponent?

I have watched every game and it just amazes me the number of obvious moving screens that never get called. Tonight it was there again. A guy comes out to the top of the key steps into an ISU defender, get a shoulder into him and starts driving him to the outside taking 2 or 3 steps into him. One time an OSU guy blocked for three steps and then grabbed the ISU defender just to make sure.

It's this way throughout college basketball. We do it too.

I think the one kid should try out for O line, cause he held his block all the way through. But we got away with a couple two, and overall I think we benefit from the refs letting them play.

It goes both ways. At least the refs are consistent in not calling it.

We don't want them to become sticklers on it. Ejim and Niang are constant offenders when they roll or pop.

That's the last thing we can complain about. We get away with a lot of them during games.

If you knock a player down (e.g. Withey), it should be called, but if they are strict, we get killed.

As stated, we have our fair share of moving picks too, just something not called AS often, like hooking.

Re: What will it take for a ref to call a moving pick against an ISU opponent?

I realize that ISU does sometimes have moving picks, but they are usual a guy that is not quite set. What I am complaining about is the pulling guard stuff that a lot of teams use on Babb to free up their scorer. It like a 7 foot white guy hacking someone in the middle of the open court. An official should be able to see this and call it. ME gets a lot of illegal screen calls, but most of that is because he leans into the defender and knocks them down a lot.

Ejim is a big time offender of moving screens. We don't want the officials to make that a priority. Look at the big three by Tyrus last night, not only was ejim probably moving, but holding the guy as well.

Georges is our best guy for number of moving picks. He knows how to do it and then break off to score. Melvin has second place.

Let Prohm's Posse Ride: Georges, Georgios, 3sus, Hallice, Deonte, Abdel, Monte, Matt, and McKaT.

Ejim and Niang are both lucky they did not get called for this in the second half last night.
