Next person to have their number retired?

Who do you think will be the next person to have this distinct honor? What sport do you think will it be from?

    Thoughts?

#3 in men's basketball will be retired following next season's All-American performance on and off the court.

If Matt Thomas stays four years, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets his retired.

Depends who graduates, etc. I've said for awhile I don't think Niang will be here all four years but if he is, I'd say he's a lock to get retired.

Not sure about Ejim yet. He has work to do next year.

Wrestling doesn't have numbers otherwise I'd say Varner would be a lock.

Re: Next person to have their number retired?

If we are talking about ISU and basketball I would say it will most likely be a woman player since the great ones are far less likely to go pro early. How many football numbers do the Cyclones have retired?
