Best place to buy a suit in DSM area?

I need a new suit, it will get worn about 5 times a year. I don't need anything fancy, but don't want cheap crap either. Any suggestions?

Re: Best place to buy a suit in DSM area?

My husband was in the same position a few years ago. Went to Dillards at Jordan Creek. Big selection, good price options. I sew so it's not like I can't look at a piece of clothing and know if it's crap. He got a nice suit at a nice price, including alterations.

Unless you are looking to get multiple suits, I would actually recommend Halberstadt's at JCreek for only one jacket/suit. Normally Jos.A.Bank will overprice individual suits but they are a good deal for multiple at once.

Mr. Bs was good for me when I went there, really like the suit and a higher quality one.

I second this. I picked one up here a few months ago, have worn it only twice so far, and I've been pretty happy. Reasonably priced and not bad quality.

I admired a friend's suit then he told me he gets all his suits at second hand stores and has them tailored. He says he finds some great deals.
