    Ankney Apartments

Hey all, I am trying to get some Ideas of some apartments in Ankney. I graduated in 2010 and got a job in Ames, but want to make a move to Ankney. For those curious, I want to get out of the college lifestyle and surround myself around people with a similar lifestyle (standard work schedule, young professionals, etc.) Any ideas would be appreciated!

Lol don't even care, I just had to correct it and I'm not sure why.

I live in WDM so I have no idea about places to live in Ankeny.

Lived in Tradition Apartments for a year. They are just south of DMACC. Great apartments, great landlord, Nick Collison is the owner.

    Re: Ankney Apartments

I don't know that there are a lot of young people in Ankeny. I lived in Ankeny in the Parkview Terrace apartments for a long, long time after college. They were nice when I moved in and the manager was good. Then they got another manager and they turned to crap. The good part is the rent never went up and I was on a month to month lease the entire time. So that place would be worth checking out. Maybe it has turned around.

    Re: Ankney Apartments

I have a 2bd condo I'm looking to rent out in WDM, if you would be interested in a different area than Ankeny. Of course it's a little further from Ames but it's a block from the 50th St interchange with I-235 and also easy access to 35/80 via University. Just wanted to throw it out there, PM me if interested.

I also lived in Tradition apartments for a year. The property manager is Nick's mom and she is really nice. She is very lenient on needing to pay rent a couple days late, as long as it doesn't turn into a habit. She was very nice to work with. Biggest compliment I had was when moving out we got the full deposit back even with some slight damage that we caused while living there. They considered it normal wear and tear. Was a big surprise to me as I had only ever worked with apartments in Ames. We had a 2 bdrm and it was a pretty decent size. We paid $925/month for it and felt it was well worth it.

Most landlords make you take a grammar, spelling, and proficiency test before you're considered for an apartment in "Ankney"

With that avatar, I'm not sure 'hanging out' is a term that is going to bring all the boys to the yard.
