Id assume tv would be the only reason to move it.

So we'll have Iowa and then a short week for @tulsa.

Too bad we didnt buy out of this game so we could have another home game. Our september schedule sucks for fans.

Was pleading for this ever since the bowl game opponent was announced. VERY disappointed we are playing this game (and I was of the opinion before the bowl game so it isn't just sour grapes)

It says it is Thursday the 26th, so we would have 12 days between Iowa and Tulsa

Pretty crazy schedule. One August game, only two September games, four October games and five November games. I hope it is a mild fall for the tailgaters' sake.

Also note that there is no open date during the conference season.

CPR has repeatedly said he doesn't like the disruption of an open date in the middle of the conference season, but it sure seems like it can be handy for getting healthy.

Half of ISU's 6 home games this year are October 26 or later. Glad I got a nice warm Cyclone winter hat dirt cheap on clearance at Dogtown this year.

Coach speak. He's said that when we've had no break.

Yeah I think its better that we moved it up so we dont have two whole weeks with no football.

Now we get extra time before the next game too.

    Yay optimism!

Yeah, he's not going to whine about no bye week. Just like he's not going to call out Texas for pussing out and not coming to Ames in late November.

Yeah, part of me just wonders if he says that because he doesn't want it to be an excuse. Turning a negative into a positive type thing.

I would sure think it would be a positive to get healthy and regroup and finish the season strong. It's not like we've been parlaying the momentum into wins late in the season with not having the bye. For some reason it feels like our teams are pretty well gassed by the last few games from the grind of that Big12 schedule.
