    New Brackeyology (ESPN insider summary)

Bracketology - Michigan back on top line in latest S-curve - College Basketball - ESPN

Here is the part that concerns us:
    Updated: February 27, 2013, 12:32 PM ET
By Joe Lunardi | ESPN InsiderThe bubble (25 teams for 11 spots)

    IN (11, in S-curve order):
    38. Colorado, 39. Iowa State, 40. Saint Mary's, 41. Creighton, 43. California, 44. La Salle, 45. Virginia, 46. Temple, 47. Kentucky, 50. Villanova, 51. Ole Miss

    OUT (14, in S-Curve order):
    69. Tennessee, 70. Baylor, 71. Arizona State, 72. Alabama, 73. Indiana State, 74. Southern Miss, 75. St. John's, 76. Boise State, 77. Maryland, 78. Arkansas, 79. Stanford, 80. Iowa, 81. Northern Iowa, 82. Brigham Young

The yellow teams are the play "first round" games.

Interesting that we are barely considered on the bubble by him.

He ranks 25 bubble teams for 11 spots, and has ISU as the #39 team, or the 2nd best out of those 25. Iowa and UNI are #80 and #81 respectively, or 3rd and 2nd worst of the 25 bubble teams in this list.

IU-UNI is a package deal. They always get them mixed up.

If this is what I think it is, then this is pure data and statistics determining that

is #42 Mid Tenn St.? I think that's a little high for ISU.I'd have them 43rd of 44th.

Yes it is. He has them winning their tourney, so not on the bubble.

    48. Akron and 49. Belmont are the other two on the bubble that are conference winners in this scenario.

Agreed. Need OSU and a road win. Done. Hope the boys don't have a big hangover game against OU and lay an egg. I think we match up pretty well with both OU and WV on the road.

...and, KU, you can go suck a turd.

I always thought that Kirkwood Community College and IA were a package deal?

That, with 6 more wins for Iowa. Either win out and 2 in the BTT, or lost to IU and make the championship. Anything other than that, and the Hawks are working on NIT seeding.

Re: New Brackeyology (ESPN insider summary)

With all the bad luck we have had this year I wonder if the bad luck won't continue on Selection Sunday. Lot of games to be played that will help us or hurt us but the mojo this year has been horrific.
